Assistant Professor
Department of Pharmacology & Regenerative Medicine
University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine

Dr. Zhou earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. He then served as an Instructor in Medical Genetics and Epigenetics at Nanjing Medical University in China. After completing his postdoctoral training in Lung Vascular Biology and Immunology in the United States, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. Dr. Zhou has extensive expertise in vascular biology, immunology, epigenetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and lung pathophysiology. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Nature Immunology and ATVB. He is an associate editor for Frontiers in Immunology and a member of ATS, NAVBO, AHA and PVRI. His independent laboratory focuses on the vascular niche in lung injury, repair, and regeneration.
